FLORIDA MEETING:

  1. Big Marlin-Little Marlin
    1. The Big Marlin-Little Marlin lunch will take place after the Saturday morning session. (Luncheon may have to be moved to Sunday if a scheduled appearance by USA-Swimming National Team member Ben Wildman-Tobriner takes place on Saturday). Please arrange a time to meet at the hotel when you are done swimming.  Remember, all swimmers are responsible for the cost of their own lunches.
    2. Gifts may be exchanged while in Florida.
  2. At the Meet
    1. Caps- the blue caps are to be worn Friday, Saturday, & Sunday evening.  The yellow caps are to be worn Saturday & Sunday morning.
    2. Please wear the Marlins Florida t-shirt at the meet.  (Be sure to wear one of your Marlins team shirts at all sessions.)
    3. All Marlins 13& Over are required to shave for this meet.  For some of our 13 year olds this will be the first time they shave.  Parents, please assist us in making sure your swimmers follow this rule.
  3. Sun Block/Water
    1. It is important that you wear enough sun block at all times when outside.  We recommend a high number so that you don’t burn.
    2. DRINK PLENTY OF WATER throughout the day, each day.  It will be hot in Florida and we don’t want swimmers getting sick due to dehydration.
  4. Curfew:  Parents are asked to respect the curfews established for each age group.
Of course, feel free to have your swimmers in their rooms earlier than the established curfew.
    1. 10&Us (this includes 8&Us):  10:30pm Thursday/10:00pm Friday & Saturday
    2. 11-12s:  11:00pm Thursday/10:30pm Friday & Saturday
    3. 13&Over:  11:30pm Thursday/11:00pm Friday & Saturday

We also ask that in between trials & finals, all swimmers rest in their rooms for a minimum of 90 minutes.  This is a championship meet and it is the final short course meet of the 2007-2008 season.  Please help us end the season on a great note!

  1. 13&Over Dinner:  There will be a 13&Over dinner after Saturday’s finals.  Swimmers
will be responsible for the cost of their own meals.  More details to follow in Florida.
  2. Team Party:  All swimmers and their families are invited to attend the team party at the
hotel after the meet on Sunday night.  A letter went out to all families a while back.
Please contact Bridget Powers and/or Kelly Blacker with any questions.
