Mary is in the seemingly endless parade of swimmers that Dennis Munson has taught to swim. She spent many hours at the former Mount Kisco Boys Club as a youth and her time spent there certainly has helped to foster her desire to work with children.
Mary swam for Fox Lane High School and with the Ace Aquatics Swim Club before moving on to a successful four-year swimming career at SUNY-Oneonta. Mary's specialties included the breaststroke and IM.
Mary graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from SUNY-Oneonta in 1998. She remained there to coach SUNY-Oneonta's diving team during the 1998-99 season. She recently finished her Masters in Special Education at Manhattanville College.
When Mary is not coaching with the Marlins, she is a Teacher Assistant at Robert E. Bell School in Chappaqua. She also coaches the Horace Greeley High School Girls Diving Team.
Mary, obviously, loves to work with children and finds that working with Marlins swimmers can be especially rewarding. She looks forward to her fourth season with Marlins!
