Andrew Chadeayne

As a Marlin

Andrew was a Marlin for ten years, and a Team Captain and an Athlete's Rep. for three years. He was named "Youth of the Month" at the Boys & Girls Club in September 1996, as well as "Youth of the Year" 1996-97. Andrew has dominated the backstroke events since he was 12 years old. His first NAG Top 16 ranking came in 1990, when he was 10 years old. He also placed in 1992 (2nd in 11-12 boys 100 back and 3rd in the 50 back), in 1994 (6th in both the 100 & 200 back), and in 1996 (16th in 200 back).  Andrew qualified for the Eastern Zone Championships in 1990, 92, 93 and 94.  He qualified for Junior Nationals at fifteen. He swam the 100 & 200 backstroke at Juniors in 1995, 96, 97 (and the Medley Relay in 1994).
In November 1995, Andrew was selected by US
Swimming to attend the "Gold - Select Camp" which was held at the US Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, CO. 
Andrew still owns many Marlins Team Records.

In High School

Andrew swam as an independent swimmer for Pleasantville HS as a freshman. He won the 100 yd backstroke at the Section One Championships and qualified for States. He made both All-Section and All-County honors.

Andrew has been a Princeton Tiger since the fall of 1997.  As a Freshman, Andrew qualified for his first Phillips 66 Senior Nationals in the 100 and 200 backstroke. His times of 50.00 (100 back) and 1:48.89 (200 back) were made at a meet with Harvard & Yale. That same year, Andrew placed 3rd in the 100 back, and 10th in the 200, at Easterns.
As a Sophomore, Andrew swam to personal best times in the 100 back (49.82) and 200 back (1:48.34) at a meet vs Columbia. He made finals in both backstroke events at Eastern Seabord Championships.
As a Junior, Andrew swam to personal best times in the 200 back (1:47.80), the 200 IM (1:54.40) and the 100 free (46.40)
Andrew made
All-Ivy and All-Eastern as a freshman and as a sophomore.
