Kelly O'Meara

As a Marlin

Kelly was a member of the Marlins Swim Team for 9 years. 
Her best strokes were the breaststroke and the butterfly, but especially the
Individual medley. For many years, Kelly held the butterfly, breaststroke and IM team records.
During her senior year of high school, Kelly was a
Team Captain and Athlete Representative with Metropolitan Swimming.
In 1994, Kelly was named "
Con Edison Athlete of the Week" by Gannett Suburban Newspapers.
Kelly was selected as the Boys & Girls Club of Northern Westchester "
Youth of the Year" in 1994-95.

At Fox Lane HS

Kelly swam on the Fox Lane High School Varsity Swim Team for four years (1990-94).  She was the Section One Champion in the 200 IM in 1994.  Kelly qualified for All-Section all four years, and for All-County in 1991 and 1994. She was Team Captain in 93 & 94.  Kelly went to the State Championships in 1991 and 1994

At Boston College

Kelly swam on the Varsity Swim Team at Boston College from the fall of 1995 to the spring of 1999. She made the Big East Team all four years (1996-97-98-99) and was a four year letter winner. She was a member of the ECAC Team in 1997 (Eastern Colleges Athletic Conference).  Kelly was a Team Captain during the 1998-99 season.   Kelly was named to the Big East Academic All Star Team all four years.   She also received the Athletic Director Award for Academic Achievement all four years (96-99).
In addition, Kelly won the 1999 "
Mary Pawlak Award" (Special Recognition - "coaches Award").  Kelly graduated in 1999 with a degree in Economics.
