Girls State Alert: Congratulations To All At The New York and Connecticut State High School Swimming Championships!
Ali Polhill won the State Title in the 100 butterfly and the 100 backstroke! Other Marlins Finalists in Individual events include:
Racquel Giner (200 IM and 100 back), Alexandra Gorki (200 IM), Bridget Doherty (200 IM), Elle Anastasiou (50 and 100 Free), Melissa Trail (100 fly and 100 back), Maddy Berkman (100 fly and 100 breast), Katie Duncalf (100 fly and 100 back), Sammie Cooper (100 fly) and Morgan Karetnick (200 IM and 100 free).

First Marlins Records of the Season fell at Condors Fall Festival! Records
Congratulations to Ali Polhill - The Journal News Con Ed Award Winner for the week of October 17, 2009- The Con Edison Athlete of the Week recognizes students in Westchester and Putnam schools who excel athletically.
Academic achievements, leadership, citizenship, school and community activities are also factors. The winner is selected each week by a panel of athletic directors and coaches who review ballots submitted by each athlete's athletic director or coach. Read More

Scholastic All-America team boasts 1500 members this year
 (9/30/2009) -
USA Swimming is proud to announce that 1500 women and men have been named to the

2008-09 Scholastic All-America Team.  This is an increase of over 50 percent from the 2007-08 team.
The 2008-09 team is composed of 905 women and 595 men.  Two-thirds of the team members achieved a 4.0 GPA.  Over 13 percent of the athletes achieved SAA status for three years.  more

USA-Swimming Alert:
USA Swimming Adopts October 1st Ban on Full-Body Suits - At its annual Convention on Saturday, over 400 USA Swimming Delegates, representing swim clubs from all 50 states, voted overwhelmingly for early implementation of a ban on high-tech swimsuits. The legislation, which will go into effect on October 1st, regulates swimsuits worn in all USA Swimming–sanctioned competitions. More Information
"Honorary Marlin" Ryan Lochte was voted "Swimmer of the Year" at the 2009 USA-S Convention. Congratulations Ryan!

Westchester Scholastic Sports Award Program - sponsored by Con Edison

Congratulations to Kim Holden, a senior at Fox Lane High School.
Kim was awarded the Anthony Sabella Scholarship at the 58th annual dinner held at the Rye Town Hilton on Wednesday, June 3rd. This scholarship is given for perseverance, dedication, leadership and outstanding achievement!
Kim was the Con Edison Scholar Athlete of the Week (November 15, 2008).

** 5/19/09: Congratulations to Betsy Weston, the female recipient of the Metropolitan Swimming Officials
Joe Stetz Scholarship! Betsy will attend Columbia University in the fall. The male recipient, Andrew Katz of the NYSA, will attend Brown University!

"Honorary Marlin" Ryan Lochte, who practiced and spent time with the team in December,
set a new World Record in the 200 meter backstroke at the FINA World Championships in Melbourne, Australia.
Ryan was also a member of the world record setting 800 free relay
with Michael Phelps, Klete Keller and Peter Vanderkaay - more


Marlins Win the 2007 Holiday Classic XX with a Combined Score of 2,549 points
Girls win with 1411 points and Boys win with 1138 points
