Saturday, March 31, 2007:
Nick Charriez qualified 5th in the 15-18 200 backstroke with a time of 2:00.06
and finished in 6th place with a time of 2:00.03.
Kazu Asaga placed 10th in the same event with a time of 2:03.19.
Maddy Berkman swam the breaststroke leg (1:07.81) of the 13-14 girls 400 medley
relay which took the bronze (4:04.98).
Kazu Asaga led off the backstroke leg of the 15-18 boys medley relay with a time
of 56.00. The relay placed 5th in 3:41.23.
Friday, March 30, 2007:
Caroline Weston qualified 8th in the 13-14 girls 200 breaststroke with a time of
2:32.84 and finished in 7th place with a time of 2:32.31.
Maddy Berkman placed 10th in the 13-14 girls 200 IM with a time of 2:16.21 and
16th in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:34.55. She was a member of the 6th
place finish 200 free relay and swam the breaststroke leg of the 7th place
finish 200 medley relay.
Kazu Asaga qualified in 6th place in the 15-18 boys 100 backstroke with a time
of 55.50 and finished 6th with a time of 55.56. He led off the 15-18 medley
relay (25.80) which finished 4th in a time of 1:40.48
Genna McLaughlin placed 7th in the 10-under girls 200 freestyle (2:13.73) and
led off the Metro 10-under girls 400 free relay which took 4th place with a time
of 4:10.92. Genna's lead-off split was 1:01.82
Thursday, March 29, 2007:
Maddy Berkman qualified 2nd in the 13-14 girls 100 breaststroke with a personal
best time of 1:08.17. She dropped another 4/100 sec at finals and finished in
3rd place with 1:08.13. Her 50 split in that race was a new Marlins record
(31.75).
Maddy also qualified 2nd (59.85) and finished 5th
(1:00.49) in the 100 butterfly.
Genna McLaughlin finished 7th in the 10-Under girls 100 free with a personal
best time of 1:01.71. She also placed 7th in the 500 free (6:00.59). Genna swam
the 2nd leg of the 10-under girls 200 free relay that finished 4th.
Emma Sawkins swam a personal best time in the 10-under girls 500 free and
finished in 6th place with a time of 5:59.42.
